Job Opportunity: Workspace Support Assistant (Part-Time, Temporary)

Location: Plymouth, Devon
Salary: £13.47 per hour
Hours: 22.5 hours per week (3 days, 7.5 hours/day) - 08:30am-16:30pm or 09:00am-17:00pm depending on the needs of the team
Contract: Temporary position (June - December 2025)
Required Qualification: NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent

Plymouth City Council are currently seeking a bright, adaptable, and enthusiastic Workspace Support Assistant to join a small and friendly Business Parks Team on a part-time, temporary basis.

The team manage two thriving commercial business centres - City Business Park in Stoke and The Business Centre in Cattedown-supporting over 100 small businesses across the city. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities:
- Frontline reception duties: greeting and signing in tenants, visitors, and contractors
- Conducting viewings of business units and processing tenancy applications
- Preparing tenancy agreements and conducting inductions
- Handling invoicing, account setup, and financial records
- Maintaining spreadsheets and databases (MS Excel)
- Reporting maintenance issues and supporting building operations
- Managing enquiries via phone, email, and in person
- Handling incoming/outgoing mail and booking meeting rooms
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the business centres

What We're Looking For:
- Experience in a reception or frontline customer service role
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general databases
- Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal
- A cheerful, confident personality with a positive, can-do attitude
- Ability to work under pressure and use initiative
- Flexibility to work across both sites and occasionally outside standard hours
- A commitment to high standards of customer service and attention to detail

Location:
Primarily based at City Business Park, with occasional support required at The Business Centre.
