Exemplar Health Care is seeking an Activities Coordinator for Acer Mews care home in Ashton-under-Lyne. You will plan and lead meaningful activities, helping residents live fulfilled lives and maintain independence.

The role focuses on person-centred activity planning, community engagement, and supporting residents to try new hobbies while promoting dignity. The post is part-time (20 hours per week) at Holden Street, Ashton-under-Lyne, OL6 9JF.

Responsibilities

• organising individual activity plans based on people’s unique goals and interests
• fostering community spirit through group activities
• supporting people to maintain their current, and take up new, hobbies, interests and educational opportunities
• assisting people to become more involved in their local community
• celebrating national awareness days, holidays and individual/collective achievements
• promoting choice, dignity and independence
