Brook Street is delighted to support a growing, modern accountancy practice in North Cardiff as they expand their team. They are seeking a fully qualified ACA/ACCA Accounts Senior to join on a part-time, permanent basis (22.5 hours across 3 days per week).

This role suits someone who enjoys client interaction, takes ownership of work, and sees a clear pathway to progression toward Client Manager. The role starts office-based with hybrid flexibility after settling in.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA fully qualified
• Minimum 3 years PQE in practice (or QBE at Accounts Senior level)
• Strong experience with SMEs / owner-managed businesses
• Excellent attention to detail and review capability
• Confident communicator who enjoys client-facing work
• Proficient in Xero (experience with practice management systems beneficial)
• No audit experience required

Responsibilities

• Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies
• Producing corporation tax and self-assessment returns
• Reviewing work from junior team members
• Acting as a main point of contact for clients
• Spotting tax planning and advisory opportunities
• Ensuring compliance deadlines are met
• Supporting workflow improvements and promoting cloud-based systems
• Contributing to a collaborative, team-focused environment
