Job description

Are you a highly organised and detail-oriented professional, looking for a new opportunity to work around school hours or other commitments?

We are recruiting for a part time Accounts Clerk to join a company based in Hassocks on a permanent basis, working within a small and friendly team. The hours are 9am to 5.30pm working 3-4 days per week, however the client could also offer 5 days to work around school hours, 25 hours per week. This is a fully office-based role and paying a salary between £26k-£28k per annum (pro rata). Due to the location, you must be able to drive with your own transport.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

* Updating customer accounts, ensuring all transactions and payments are processed correctly
* Dealing with email and telephone account queries, providing excellent customer service
* Reconciling account statements
* Generating invoices and dealing with outstanding invoice queries
* Preparing financial reports by analysing data from Xero
* Supporting and liaising with the accounts payable team to ensure accurate financial reporting

To be successful for this position, you must have proven experience in a similar role within an office environment, as well as strong knowledge of Xero. You must have excellent communication and organisation skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
