Job summary

RG Consultancy Ltd is assisting a well-established Leyland manufacturer to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a permanent, part-time basis. The role reports to the Financial Controller and primarily oversees the sales ledger and credit control functions.

Working with another Accounts Assistant, duties include invoicing, credit notes, bank reconciliations, and ledger reconciliations. There is flexibility on hours for the right candidate and schools hours-friendly arrangements are welcomed.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a ledger in a small team environment.
• Flexibility to work around school hours and adapt to part-time hours.

Responsibilities

• Process and issue sales invoices and credit notes accurately.
• Liaise with customers and internal departments to resolve invoice queries.
• Perform bank reconciliations and sales ledger reconciliations.
• Handle credit control by chasing overdue payments via phone and email.
• Allocate customer payments and set up new customer accounts; maintain details.
• Complete adhoc finance tasks to support the Financial Controller and wider finance function.
