About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Part-Time Accounts Assistant to join our finance team in Worcester. This role is ideal for someone looking to contribute their accounting skills in a flexible, part-time capacity, while working in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including data entry and invoice processing
  • Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts
  • Process purchase and sales ledger transactions
  • Prepare and maintain financial records and reports
  • Support with month-end procedures
  • Assist with VAT returns and other statutory filings
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal departments regarding payment queries
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance team
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar accounts or finance role
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • AAT qualification (or working towards) or similar accounting certification
  • Experience working in an SME environment
