Part-Time Accounts Assistant - Prestigious Organisation

Location: Stockton-on-Tees

Hours: 20 hours per week (Ideally across 5 days)

Contract: Long-Term Temporary (depending on candidate)

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Are you an experienced and detail-oriented finance professional looking to contribute to a prestigious organisation in Stockton? We are seeking a
Part-Time Accounts Assistant to provide high-quality financial and administrative support across Group Businesses, working closely with the Financial Controller and wider finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and timely financial administrative support
  • Assist with cost accounting activities including daily, monthly, and yearly transaction reconciliations
  • Process invoices and ensure accurate cost allocation
  • Maintain purchase and sales ledgers
  • Liaise with third-party providers, clients, and suppliers
  • Set up and maintain customer and supplier accounts accurately
  • Manage the Accounts inbox and allocate issues for resolution
  • Handle incoming queries, paperwork, and ad-hoc requests
  • Perform basic administration and call handling duties
  • Offer support to the Financial Controller, Group Finance Director, and senior staff

Working Hours: This role is for 20 hours per week, and the client's preference is for the hours to be spread across
5 working days to ensure consistent support throughout the week.
Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in a finance or accounts assistant role
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Committed to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
