Part-Time Accounts Assistant

are looking for a part-time Accounts Assistant to join our well-established and expanding team based at our branch in Shrewsbury.

Working hours:

Part time, 2 days per week, 16 hours per week.

Key responsibilities as our part-time Accounts Assistant:

• Reconciling bank statements
• Balancing bank accounts
• Dealing with and entering bank received transactions
• Dealing with and entering payment transactions
• Updating cash book
• Handling branch cash sales (cash and Visa payments)
• Assisting with reconciling customer payments
• Ad-hoc accounts and administration duties

Skills we’re looking for in our part-time Accounts Assistant:

• At least two years’ experience in a similar accounts role
• Good accurate numeracy and accounting skills
• Working knowledge of Excel
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Qualification in accounting preferable, but not essential
