Part Time Accounts Assistant

Salary: £16-18k - part time pro rata salary

Location: Waterloo based office - remote working offered with occasional travel to London

Hours: 20 hours a week - Ideally Monday, Weds, Fri or 4 hours a day 10-2

Are you enthusiastic and detail-oriented? Our client, who specializes in the tourism and events industry, is looking for a Part-Time Accounts Assistant to support their accounting needs. If you have a knack for numbers and a passion for managing finances, we want to hear from you!

About the Role

As a Part-Time Accounts Assistant, you will manage day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring smooth financial operations. This role offers flexibility with predominantly remote work and occasional travel to London for meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Bookkeeping, including reconciliation and expense management
  2. Managing accounts payable, loading invoices, and arranging payments
  3. Preparing monthly reports and reviewing them with the Managing Director
  4. Handling quarterly VAT returns and year-end preparations for accountants
What We're Looking For
  1. Proficiency in Xero software
  2. Understanding of accounting principles, especially billing and reconciliation
  3. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  4. Excellent communication skills
