Part-Time Accounts Assistant
£15.00 - £18.00 per hour
15 hours per week - flexible across 2 or 3 days

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing day-to-day accounting entries across sales, purchase, and nominal ledgers
  • Reconciling bank and credit card transactions, including processing expenses and cash
  • Supporting credit control processes to help ensure smooth payment cycles
  • Coordinating with clients regarding exhibition-related purchases such as insurance, scanners and furniture
  • Ensuring financial data in Xero is accurate and aligned with internal CRM and fulfilment systems
  • Generating reports in Xero and Excel to support internal decision-making
  • Assisting with quarterly VAT returns via MTD
  • Supporting the Financial Director in the preparation of annual statutory accounts
  • Always keeping an eye on compliance with relevant financial regulations

What you'll bring:

  • Experience in a similar finance or accounts support role
  • A keen eye for detail and a love of well-organised figures
  • Good working knowledge of Xero and Excel (advanced Excel skills would be a plus)
  • A confident communicator, able to liaise with internal teams and external clients
  • Organised, efficient, and able to manage your workload independently
