Job description

Sewell Wallis is representing a long-standing client based in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, who is looking for a Part Time Accountant.

Having worked with this business for many years and placed multiple people within this team and the wider function, I am confident that this Part Time Accountant role offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience and advance your career.

What will you be doing?

• Producing Monthly Accounts for overhead cost centres.
• Assisting in the preparation of cost centre budgets and forecasts.
• Reconciling and processing prepayments, accruals, and standard charges.
• Managing company-paid credit cards.
• Performing Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Completing national statistics returns.
• Overseeing and assisting in bank account reconciliations.
• Ensuring year-end schedules for tax packs are completed monthly.
• Reconciling PSA for correct calculation and HMRC submissions.
• Reconciling inter-company accounts monthly with group companies.
• Preparing VAT returns quarterly.
• Processing ad hoc payment requests.
• Assisting in the preparation of Statutory Accounts and Tax Packs.
• Processing intercompany journals.
• Replenishing and reconciling petty cash.
• Managing fixed asset accounts and producing management reports.
• Managing capital approval processes in line with policies.

What skills are we looking for?

• Studying towards an accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA).
