Job summary

City Football Group, based at the City Football Academy in Manchester, is seeking a part-time education role to deliver targeted learning for players in the Professional Development Phase. You will teach, assess and plan across days while balancing football commitments, four afternoons and one morning each week.

You will deliver BTEC Sport and other relevant qualifications, maintaining progress through accurate tracking and close collaboration with schools, colleges and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring young people in an education, academy, sport or post-16 setting.
• A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS or QTLS, or equivalent relevant professional qualification.
• Knowledge of BTEC Sport and/or other relevant education programmes, with the ability to plan, deliver and assess learning effectively.

Responsibilities

• Deliver education delivery for players in the Professional Development Phase, helping them achieve target grades while balancing football commitments.
• Deliver BTEC Sport and other appropriate qualifications and track progress through accurate reporting and day-to-day administration.
• Identify where extra support is needed and develop practical plans with colleagues to keep players moving forward.
