HR Assistant
£30,000 - £35,000 per annum DOE
Part-time (3 days a week ideally)
Ipswich
6-month Fixed Term Contract with the possibility of permanent employment

We are working with a fantastic distributor of manufacturing goods in Ipswich who are looking to add to their HR team with a HR Coordinator. This role will initially be a 6-month contract with the opportunity for permanent employment after the 6 months, subject to satisfactory work. If desired by the candidate, CIPD qualification support will be provided once permanently appointed.

The successful candidate will facilitate daily HR functions, supporting managers and employees with excellent HR guidance and advice. They will also support the HR Manager with HR projects and service developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Culture and Performance: Act as a values guardian, ensuring adherence to company values and behaviours; support employee engagement activities, surveys, and events.
  2. Policies and Governance: Support review of company policies for fairness and equality; assist managers with employee relations issues and policy guidance; maintain HRIS and employee data in compliance with GDPR.
  3. Recruitment and Onboarding: Ensure a positive candidate experience; support sourcing, background checks, shortlisting, and issuing contracts; develop onboarding and induction processes.
  4. Reward and Wellness: Administer benefits programs, communicate benefits, and support employee wellness initiatives.
  5. Training and Development: Coordinate training sessions and seminars.
  6. Quality and Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement; maintain personal professional development to stay updated with HR best practices and trends.
