Job summary

EthosEnergy Group is seeking a Part-Qualified Accountant to support statutory reporting, management accounting, and financial analysis. You will prepare UK statutory statements, assist with year-end processes, and liaise with auditors from its Aberdeen office.

The role emphasizes accurate reporting, deadline-driven work, and flexible handling of a varied workload, with ongoing ACCA/CIMA/ICAS/ICAEW study support.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified accountant actively studying toward ACCA/CIMA/ICAS/ICAEW or equivalent.
• Experience preparing UK statutory financial statements and management accounting processes.
• Ability to prepare accurate financial information and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation of annual statutory financial statements for UK entities under UK standards and Companies Act.
• Prepare schedules, reconciliations and working papers for year-end and external audit.
• Liaise with auditors and respond to audit queries with documentation.
• Prepare monthly management accounts with journals, accruals and reconciliations.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting with variance analysis.
• Produce timely financial reports for management and stakeholders.
• Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks and opportunities; present findings clearly.
• Maintain and improve financial controls, reporting processes and procedures.
• Use Excel for data analysis, including formulas, pivots and lookups.
• Support internal audit activities and respond to ad hoc financial requests.
• Collaborate with colleagues to resolve queries and provide financial support.
• Undertake other duties and project work as needed.
