A new permanent position has just become available for a Part Qualified Accountant to provide support to the Practice Manager.

The company is an employer of choice based in Co. Meath with an impressive database of clients, operating for over 30 years. They offer a wide range of services including audit, non-audit, sole trader, and industry sector clients. The company is conveniently located for individuals living in Meath, North Dublin, and Louth.

This role operates on a hybrid model with the option of working 3 days in the office and 2 days from home per week.

Role of this position

1. Preparation and review of annual financial statements
2. Accounts preparation work including balance sheet reconciliations
3. Assist with the preparation of management accounts
4. Deliver financial statements in line with agreed deadlines and follow checklists, procedures, and process requirements
5. Assist with the preparation of year-end audits
6. Assist with year-end close out and year-end journals
7. Preparation of company and personal tax returns
8. Completing statutory returns
9. Liaising with clients
10. Assisting the manager on special client assignments

Job Requirements

1. Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or CPA)
2. Over 2 years’ experience in a general accounting practice with exposure to audit
3. Strong financial acumen with the ability to perform a hands-on role
4. Proficiency in Accounting packages – Sage Line 50 is an advantage
5. You will hold a full clean driver’s license and transport, as you will be expected to go on client visits occasionally
