Qualifications

Part-Qualified Accountant Friendly Accountancy Practice Lingfield, Surrey

Are you a Part-Qualified Accountant looking for a role where you will be more than just a number?

We are working with a growing, close-knit accountancy practice based in Lingfield that supports a broad mix of SMEs, freelancers, and sole traders. With a strong focus on client service and the use of modern, cloud-based systems, this firm offers the perfect setting for someone looking to deepen their practice experience while continuing their professional studies.

Location: Lingfield, Surrey
Job Type: Full-Time (Office Based)
Salary: GBP27,000 - GBP35,000 DOE + Study Support + CPD

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare year-end accounts for a mix of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Handle bookkeeping duties, bank reconciliations, and ledger management
• Prepare and file VAT returns (including MTD)
• Assist in management accounts and cash flow forecasting
• Respond to client queries and maintain regular communication
• Support in preparing personal and corporation tax returns

We’re Looking For:

• Part-qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or AAT Level 4)
• 2 years experience in a UK accountancy practice
• Solid knowledge of Xero & QuickBooks (certification is a plus)
• Familiarity with UK accounting standards and VAT legislation
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent Microsoft Excel knowledge and experience
• Someone proactive, organized, and confident juggling multiple deadlines

Bonus Points For:

• Experience with Xero add-ons like Dext or Hubdoc
• Familiarity with QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms
• Experience with VAT registration/de-registration
• Understanding of HMRC and Companies House submissions
