Job summary

Curtis Recruitment Limited is working with a long-established accountancy practice in Banbury to recruit a Part Qualified Accountant to join the team and help deliver high-quality accounts, tax and audit work.

The successful candidate will be part qualified ACCA or ICAEW and will gain broad exposure across audits, corporate tax and personal tax, with study support and a competitive benefits package. Flexible working is available.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Limited company accounts for clients, reviewed by Managers/Directors.
• Prepare Corporation Tax computations for review.
• Prepare Personal Tax returns.
• Plan and deliver audit assignments.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff.
• Manage client communications effectively.
• Monitor assignment budgets pro-actively.

Job description

Our accountancy practice client requires a Part Qualified Accountant to join the team at the firm s Banbury office to undertake accounts, tax and some audit work, supporting Managers and Directors in providing high-quality services to clients.

The ideal candidate will be part qualified ACCA or ACA and have significant audit and accounts experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment.

As Part Qualified Accountant your responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of Limited company accounts for a variety of clients to be reviewed by Managers / Directors
• Preparation of Corporation Tax computations for review
• Preparing Personal Tax returns
• Planning and delivery of audit assignments
• Supervise and mentor junior staff
• Manage client communication in an effective manner
• Monitor your assignment budgets pro-actively

• Part qualified ACCA / ICAEW with audit, accounts and tax experience gained within a UK accountancy practice
• Knowledge of UK accounting and audit standards
• You will be self-driven, results orientated and with a positive outlook
• Be keen progress and develop skills and be interested in supporting trainees with their training and development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good general IT skills, Word and Excel, and ideally with a working knowledge of Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, and CCH
