Job Description
- Prepare and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts and financial statements.
- Support senior accountants with audits and financial reporting tasks.
- Handle reconciliations, including bank and supplier accounts.
- Contribute to the preparation of tax returns and VAT submissions.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with clients to resolve queries and provide financial advice as needed.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and industry practices.
The Successful Applicant
A successful part-qualified accountant should have:
- Progress towards a recognised accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Experience in preparing financial statements and management accounts.
- 2+ years experience working in practice.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel.
- An analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
