A leading architecture firm in the Outer Hebrides seeks a talented Part II Architectural Assistant. Based in the Uists in the Outer Hebrides, Fraser Architecture works in inspiring locations throughout the Islands and Highlands of Scotland. Our workload is very diverse, with private residential, commercial, public sector, health and third sector clients, and contract values ranging from £100,000 to £4m plus.
We blend a strongly contemporary design ethos with fabric first principles in all our work. In parallel with traditional construction methods, we offer an innovative in-house designed construction system, delivered through our sister company, 7-22 Systems Ltd. - giving our clients access to bespoke, best value architecture at the forefront of modern methods of construction and environmentally focused design.
This post is ideal for a talented, versatile Part II Architectural Assistant looking for scope to develop their skills within an innovative practice. Our small creative team can nurture talent in a collaborative setting and provide a range of high quality experience to support professional development towards Part III qualification. You will demonstrate strong self-motivation, creativity, curiosity, technical aptitude and a commitment to on-going learning.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite is desirable. In lieu of Revit experience, transferable skills in software such as Vectorworks and ArchiCAD would be welcome.
A full UK driving licence is essential and access to a vehicle is very desirable due to our rural location.
