A leading architectural organization is seeking a Part 3 Course Leader in Liverpool. The candidate will be responsible for delivering the RIBA Part 3 course and examinations, ensuring compliance with Professional Statutory and Regulatory Body (PSRB) requirements. Ideal candidates will be UK Registered Architects with significant experience in practice and preferably in academia. This full-time, permanent role offers a salary of up to £60,000 per annum, with hybrid working options.

Salary: up to £60,000 per annum, based upon experience and location

Location: Liverpool/Hybrid working

Hours: 35 hours per week, full-time, permanent

About The Role

As Part 3 Course Leader, you will have responsibility for the delivery of the RIBA Part 3 course and examination to c. 400 candidates each year, ensuring delivery is in line with Professional Statutory and Regulatory Body (PSRB) requirements. This includes the hybrid delivery of the course and the office-based examinations in the UK and overseas locations.

This is a key period for architectural education and the role will focus and take the lead on how upcoming changes to PSRB requirements can be accommodated and align with the aspirations of the RIBA in terms of professional practice both in the UK and internationally.

What are we looking for?

Essential

  • UK Registered Architect with significant post Part 3 experience
  • Experience in practice and ideally academia
  • An understanding of the current Part 3 requirements
  • A demonstrated interest in the developments in Architectural Education and how the new Professional Statutory and Regulatory Body (PSRB) requirements will impact the delivery of professional practice in the future
  • A desire to drive forward the changes and be innovative in the delivery of courses in the future.
  • To be equally comfortable working as part of a team and in taking individual responsibility for key aspects of the programmes

Desirable

  • Experience as a mentor/PSA/examiner
  • An interest in international practice and supporting future members of the profession globally.
  • A desire to develop to take on a greater strategic and leadership role in the future.
