Part 2 Architectural Assistant

Location: Shrewsbury

Salary: £27-31,000 DOE

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Part 2 Architectural Assistant with an interest in planning to join a dynamic and supportive consultancy team. The role will primarily support architectural work within the Applications Team and will also encompass planning application casework. It is well-suited to a Part 2 candidate looking to gain experience at the intersection of design and planning. The ideal applicant will have a solid grounding in architectural design, be confident using AutoCAD, and be eager to engage with the UK planning system. This role offers the chance to develop technical and professional skills in both architectural practice and planning casework within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Daily Duties:

• Preparing and submitting planning applications
• Producing architectural drawings and site plans using AutoCAD
• Supporting senior planners and consultants with casework
• Liaising with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders
• Conducting site research, planning history reviews, and policy analysis
• Assisting with appeals and planning statements
• Helping maintain project files and documentation systems

Ideal Candidate:

• Part 2 qualified Architectural Assistant or candidate with relevant planning experience
• As well as architecture, an interest in town planning and development processes
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Proactive, adaptable, and keen to learn
