Job description

Location: London or Remote in the UK

Heta Architects is on the rise. We're building a commercially-minded, globally-focused team that partners with clients to shape bold, high-impact architecture - and we're looking for a Part 2 Architectural Assistant who's hungry to grow, take ownership, and make real impact.

About The Role
This is not a passive role. We want someone who thinks fast, works smart, and brings curiosity and grit to every challenge. Much of your time will be spent working on competitive bids and early-stage design proposals, meaning you'll be instrumental in how we win work, tell stories, and communicate design value. It's also a key moment for us as a practice. We care deeply about how we present ourselves - visually, verbally, and strategically, and you'll play an important role in delivering that message consistently and creatively across everything we do.

You'll be hands-on from day one, supporting the team with research, bidding, design development, and technical delivery. You'll help shape strategic responses to briefs, prepare high-quality submissions, and contribute to visualisations and project coordination. The role calls for a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to stay adaptable and organised in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the team to develop bidding documents, feasibility studies, and design proposals.
  • Collaborate on technical drawings and visual presentations, ensuring clarity and precision.
  • Manage tasks effectively while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Take initiative in identifying challenges and proposing solutions.
  • Participate in design discussions and contribute creative ideas.
  • Assist with the production of marketing content and materials as needed.
  • Be adaptable and willing to take on a variety of tasks beyond your core role - we're a small, driven team, and everyone plays a part in getting things done.
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience
  • Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign.
  • Strong design and technical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Knowledge of UK building regulations and planning requirements (or ability to develop this knowledge quickly).
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset with a keen interest in high-quality architecture.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written) with strong communication skills.
Preferred Attributes
  • Experience in Rhino and Grasshopper for parametric design and advanced modelling is a plus.
  • Strong conceptual and freehand sketching skills.
  • Organised, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
Benefits
What We Offer
  • The opportunity to work on a diverse range of exciting and impactful opportunities and projects.
  • A dynamic, supportive, and multicultural team environment.
  • Professional growth and mentorship from experienced architects.
  • Flexibility to work from home 2 days/week if based in London.
  • Open to remote applicants (some travel may be required).
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • A flexible and creative work culture that values innovation and collaboration.
Heta Architects is a diverse, multicultural team. We are excited to welcome passionate professionals eager to make an impact and grow with us.
