Lancaster City Council seeks a Park Maintenance Officer to join their parks team. This permanent role involves maintaining parks, overseeing the splash park, and ensuring high standards of service. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Park Maintenance Officer to join our parks and open spaces team. This is a dynamic, fast-paced role focused on maintaining frontline operations to ensure efficient service delivery. A key responsibility will be overseeing the safe use of the splash park in Happy Mount Park, including routine maintenance in the plant room.
The ideal candidate will uphold high standards of service and customer care. They should be determined, resilient, flexible, and capable of adding value to our team.
This is a permanent position, working 37 hours per week on a shift rota that includes bank holidays, evenings, and weekends.
A full UK driving licence is essential, as the role requires travel across various locations in the district. The successful candidate must also agree to undergo licence validation through our external DVLA monitoring service.
Employment is subject to a basic disclosure check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
