Job summary

Enable Leisure and Culture is seeking an experienced Parks Officer to manage greenspace and biodiversity projects in Wandsworth Borough. You will lead end-to-end delivery, coordinate volunteers, and engage the community to create welcoming, sustainable spaces.

You will report to the Head of Parks and work closely with residents, contractors and internal teams to deliver high-quality greenspace improvements that support wellbeing and social cohesion.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering greenspace and biodiversity projects in line with management plans.
• Experience instructing, managing and supporting volunteers.
• Strong organisational and communication skills to manage multiple sites and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Ensure greenspaces meet Green Flag standards and grow award counts.
• Develop site management and maintenance plans with clear priorities.
• Deliver greenspace and biodiversity improvements aligned with action plans.
• Lead project design, development, budgeting and reporting from concept to evaluation.
• Coordinate volunteering and community engagement to boost involvement.
• Create engaging information materials for the community.
• Provide professional communication with clients, stakeholders and the public.
• Deputise for Head of Parks and other team members as required.
