Job description

The Parking Processing Support Officer role plays a key part in supporting our day-to-day service delivery following the introduction of Civil Parking Enforcement for on-street parking and our own car parks.

We have a part-time role working 18.5 hours weekly. We are happy to discuss a working pattern for these hours spread over our normal working days.

In this role, you will provide support to customers regarding parking permits, responding to both calls and email correspondence. The role will review charge notice appeals, make decisions, and support the Processing Manager on case progression.

The postholder is key to the delivery of core service functions, which include carrying out site checks from a safety perspective to ensure areas are free from issues (this will require the use of a council vehicle).

Due to the nature of the role, you should be able to demonstrate in your application where you have worked in a customer-focused setting and have excellent attention to detail, as you will be required to accurately process information relating to offences.

This role requires excellent communication and organisational skills, working both independently and as part of a team.

An offer of employment is conditional upon having the right to work in the UK. Huntingdonshire District Council does not hold a Sponsorship Licence and is unable to provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) or take over sponsorship for any role.
