Job summary

Essential Employment is seeking a Parking Design Engineer for Disabled Bays in Bromley. The role is hybrid, with 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home.

Responsibilities include handling disabled parking bay applications through assessment, design, consultation, and implementation stages, and providing clear responses to residents and stakeholders. The job involves preparing plans and documentation, supporting minor parking schemes, and assisting the Traffic Engineering team with

Qualifications

• Experience in reviewing and designing parking schemes.
• Ability to communicate clearly with residents and stakeholders.
• Understanding of waiting and loading restrictions and minor schemes.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review and process applications for disabled parking bays and progress through assessment, design, consultation, statutory and implementation stages.
• Respond to correspondence and enquiries from residents, elected Members and other stakeholders.
• Prepare plans, schedules, consultation materials, letters and documentation for disabled parking bays and minor parking schemes.
• Undertake parking investigations and assist in design and delivery of minor parking schemes including restrictions and bays.
• Assist Traffic Engineering team with general traffic and parking enquiries, site visits, data gathering, record keeping and scheme administration.
• Provide a helpful, accurate, customer-focused service, explaining decisions in clear language.

Parking Design Engineer - DISABLED BAYS (Hybrid) needed in Bromley, £21.39ph PAYE - Reference: OR120143

• Receive, review and process applications for disabled parking bays, and progress approved applications through assessment, design, consultation, statutory and implementation stages.
• Respond clearly and promptly to correspondence and enquiries from residents, elected Members and other stakeholders on disabled parking bays and general parking matters.
• Prepare plans, schedules, consultation materials, letters and other documentation required for disabled parking bays and minor parking schemes.
• Undertake parking investigations and assist in the design and delivery of minor parking schemes, including waiting and loading restrictions, parking bays and other local parking improvements.
• Assist the wider Traffic Engineering team with general traffic and parking enquiries, site visits, data gathering, record keeping and scheme administration.
• Provide a helpful, accurate and customer-focused service, explaining decisions and processes in clear, non-technical language.

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
