The Role

This is an opportunity for a talented individual to provide a mentoring role as well as enforcement of Falkirk Council’s on & off-street parking in accordance with the relevant regulations.

You will supervise an integrated team who issue penalty charge notices using electronic handheld devices and be mobile throughout the Council boundary, working in various locations, predominantly outdoors with travel between locations.

You will load pay & display ticket machines with tickets and replace cash boxes as necessary also collecting and manual handling said cash boxes into a council vehicle, including delivery and unloading at appropriate location.

You will hold a City & Guilds in Level 2 Parking Enforcement Officer qualification within 18 months of appointment.

You will have good customer care skills, experience of data protection legislation with an ability to work as part of a team. You will have experience in current health & safety regulations and procedures and experience following national guidelines.

You will work 37 hours per week over 5 days Monday to Saturday with 1 day off to be agreed on a rota basis. Shift 1 hours are 8.00 – 15.54 with a 30-minute lunch break. Shift 2 hours are 10.00 – 17.54 with a 30-minute lunch break. Shifts 1 and 2 are worked on a rota basis.
