Base pay range

Please note that priority will be given to internal DCG staff identified as 'At Risk' who can demonstrate recent and relevant experience, as well as the qualifications outlined in the person specification.

Derby College Group (DCG) are recruiting for a dedicated individual to join the college as a Parental Engagement Worker. This role is based at our iconic Roundhouse campus with travel to our other amazing campuses when necessary. The opportunity

In this role, you will be instrumental in strengthening the relationship between the college, parents, carers, and the wider community by promoting active and meaningful parental involvement in students’ education. You will work directly with families to improve communication, support students’ personal and academic development, and encourage positive engagement with learning, behaviour, and attendance. Your work will play a key role in helping students achieve their full potential by fostering a collaborative and supportive home-college partnership.

About You

You are a compassionate and organised professional with experience supporting families and young people in educational, social care, or community settings. You bring strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and work sensitively with diverse families. You’re confident managing a varied caseload, collaborating across teams, and are familiar with local services, multi-agency meetings, and referral pathways. With a solid understanding of safeguarding, early help processes, and the challenges facing post-16 students, you are well-equipped to make a meaningful impact. You hold Level 3 qualifications in a relevant field and have experience in further education.
