Job description

Location: Agile working You will be required to work in the local authority areas of Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion as well as from home or in our Cardiff office. Access to transport is essential and travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Salary: GBP35,893.80 pro rata

Hours: 17.5 hours per week

Contract: The project will be in place between 1 September 2025 and 31 March 2026

Closing Date: 7 August 2025

We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced professional to lead on this project with the support and oversight of Children in Wales and Parents Connect Wales.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding and awareness of the importance of involving parents; have appropriate experience of working with and engaging parents from a range of backgrounds and be able to lead and complete this project within the specified timeframe

A clear workplan has been established to guide the project and regular meetings will allow collaboration and development.

Key tasks will include:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver a suitable training programme for parent volunteers
  • Plan, prepare and deliver regional and community events with parent volunteers and local stakeholders to promote the work undertaken
  • Complete an evaluation report, engaging with parents and stakeholders to inform the process
  • Contribute to regular meetings with local authority lead officers
