Overview

Royal Mail Parcelforce Worldwide is a express parcel delivery provider with a network of depots across the UK. We employ over 5,500 people and operate across 54 depots. We’re looking for reliable Warehouse Sorters to join our fast-paced team, supporting our aim to deliver with speed and care.

Role and responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles and scan and label parcels quickly and efficiently.
• Ensure every package leaves the processing centre on time and in perfect condition.

Requirements

• Positive and practical attitude with good attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and carry parcels weighing up to 30 kg (approximately 30 litres of water).

Working patterns and location

• Contract Type: Fixed Term
• Working hours: Full-time 38 hours per week with potential overtime
• Hours: Monday – Friday 22:10 – 06:30
• Location: Parcelforce Worldwide, Birmingham LD Unit 1 Pavilion Drive, Holford, Birmingham B6 7BB

Salary and benefits

• Starting salary of £24,210 (£12.21 per hour) increasing to £25,679 (£12.95 per hour) on completion of 6-month probation
• Additional supplement of £842 per annum pro rata, night-shift allowance and benefits (based on a 38-hour week)
• Potential total package of circa £30,000 per annum with overtime
• Night allowance of £102 per week
• Sunday premium of £3.45 per hour for contracted hours on Saturday after 06:00 and Sunday 00:01 – 23:59
