Job summary

Additional Resources Ltd in Chelmsford is seeking a night shift Parcel Sorter to join a trusted courier operation. You will hand-sort mail and parcels, label them, and prepare them for delivery in a fast-paced depot.

The role requires reliability, ability to work nights, and attendance for ongoing shifts. DBS check may be required; immediate start possible.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or parcel sorting experience preferred.
• Must have safety boots and hi-vis jacket.
• Able to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
• Reliable with good timekeeping.
• Able to work night shifts until tasks are completed.
• Willing to complete a DBS check; cost deducted from first week’s pay.
• Must be available to start immediately.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Hand-sort mail and sort parcels into the correct routes and locations.
• Bag, label and prepare parcels for delivery.
• Move mail within the depot and load and unload containers.
• Scan items accurately and maintain an organised, safe working area.
• Work efficiently as part of a fast-paced depot team.

What Were Looking For:

• Previous warehouse, parcel sorting, logistics or distribution experience would be preferred
• Must have safety boots & hi-vis jacket
• Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
• Reliable with good timekeeping.
• Ability to work night shifts until all tasks are completed.
• Willingness to complete a DBS check (cost deducted from first week's pay)
• Must be available to start immediately

Job Info:

• Shift Start: 11:59 PM - 8:00 AM
• Hours: Minimum 8-hour shift
• Working Days: Monday-Friday
• Pay Rate: £17:00 per hour (uplifted PAYE Umbrella)
