Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our industry-leading client based in Sheffield. We are seeking Parcel Sorter/Warehouse Operatives to join a fast-paced and growing team, with days and nights available.

Location S35 1QP. Pay starts at £12.71 per hour for the first 12 weeks, rising to £15.01 from week 13, with ongoing work and potential for permanent positions for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, logistics, or parcel sorting experience is desirable but not essential.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift parcels of varying weights.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work night shifts.
• Good communication and team-player attitude.
• Reliable transport to and from the SHEFFIELD S35 location.

Responsibilities

• Sort and organise incoming parcels according to routes and destinations.
• Operate conveyor belts, scanners, and other warehouse equipment.
• Label and categorise parcels to prevent delivery errors.
• Collaborate with team to meet deadlines and maintain workflow.
• Identify damaged parcels and report per procedures for handling.
• Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles, maximizing space efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Adhere to health, safety, and security regulations.
