Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking Delivery Drivers to distribute parcels and letters across local routes in the community. You will deliver efficiently by driving or walking on a dedicated route, upholding high integrity and customer service standards.

A DBS check is required; shift 08:00–16:00, minimum 5 days a week, on a temporary basis with a basic pay rate of £13.69 per hour.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence (no more than six points).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good level of fitness and organisational ability.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parcels and letters on a dedicated route by vehicle or on foot.

Royal Mail deliver letters and parcels every day to people throughout the country and are relied on by communities across the UK. We are now looking for Delivery Drivers to be a part of this world-class service.

You will be responsible for delivering parcels and letters quickly and efficiently, by driving and/or walking on a dedicated route, whilst maintaining our high integrity standards and demonstrating friendly customer service! Other duties may also include sorting of mail/parcels within the delivery office.

• The role is working a minimum of 5 days a week between the days of Monday to Sunday. (Shift times may vary)
• Shift time is 08:00 - 16:00
• Basic pay rate - £13.69ph
• Temporary

As a Parcel/Letter Delivery Driver, you will need the following:

• Full UK driving licence, with no more than six points. (Subject to conditions)
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Upbeat and self-motivated.
• Love of the outdoors, whatever the weather.
• Good level of fitness to meet demands of the role.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Resilience and flexibility.
