Job summary

Pertemps Bond, on behalf of Royal Mail, seeks a Postal/Parcel Delivery Driver in Edinburgh. This temporary role starts ASAP, with a 35-hour week and a requirement to work outdoors in all weather.

You will begin at the local Delivery Office, load deliveries, and use a handheld device for signatures and navigation. Route involves walking up to 8 miles daily and lifting mail up to 16 kg and parcels up to 20 kg.

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and environments.
• Previous delivery or driving experience is beneficial but not essential.

Job Opportunity: Postal / Parcel Delivery Driver

Pay Rate: £15.06 per hour

Hours: Up to 35 hours a week

Schedule: Monday to Friday & weekend availability required

Shift Times: Between the hours of 9:30am and 18:00pm

Key Responsibilities

• Start your shift at the local delivery office to sort and load your deliveries
• Use a handheld device for signature capture and route navigation
• Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle - walking up to 8 miles per day
• Lift and carry mail bags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg)
• Use delivery trolleys when required

Requirements

• Full UK manual driving licence (maximum 6 points; clean licence preferred)
• Previous delivery or driving experience is beneficial but not essential
• Excellent time management and customer service skills
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
