Job summary

Meraki Talent’s Edinburgh-based client is hiring a Paraplanner or Trainee Paraplanner to join their financial planning team. You will support advisers by researching, modelling scenarios, drafting advice and attending client meetings.

Ideal candidates have experience in financial planning/advice, and a willingness to study towards professional qualifications such as a Diploma in Financial Planning. This role offers progression and hands-on client-facing experience.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a Financial Planning/Advice firm.
• Experience working as a Paraplanner or strong interest in becoming a Paraplanner.
• Diploma in Financial Planning/Paraplanning or willingness to study towards qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Work with the financial planning and client service teams to deliver an excellent level of client service.
• Provide technical support to financial planners by analyzing and modelling various financial scenarios.
• Draft well written and effective advice containing all the relevant information that clients need to be aware of including conclusions and recommendations.
• Attend client meetings alongside the advice team to conduct research.
