Type of Position: Paraplanner - London, Moorgate
Pay: £45k - £55k

Paraplanner - London, Moorgate

Our client is looking for a hard-working individual with Paraplanning experience to join their team based in London. Reporting to the Head of Wealth Planning, the Paraplanner is responsible for administration of the financial advisory offering. The role holder will be accountable for implementing and maintaining Wealth Planning administration services.

This position will be office based in Moorgate, London.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Technical work including cash flow modelling, preparation of plan schedules, and pension scheme analysis.
  2. Suitability report writing.
  3. Responsible for the smooth delivery of the administration of the financial advisory business.
  4. Own the administrative tasks and workflow.
  5. Data and document preparation for new clients and existing client reviews.
  6. Case management using a Client Relationship Management system; ability to accurately record and maintain client and plan data.
  7. Respond professionally and capably to administration queries from third parties including clients, providers, Wealth Planners and Investment Managers.
  8. Own the end-to-end application process for new plans.
  9. Efficient servicing of existing plans.
  10. Get involved in initiatives to enhance what we do and our client proposition.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  1. Ideally educated to Degree level (2:1 or above)
  2. At least two years' experience working as a financial planner in the Financial Services industry
  3. Proven track record in delivering regulated financial advice to High Net Worth clients
  4. Financial planning qualifications essential (Chartered Financial Planner or working towards)
  5. Possess advanced Chartered Institute of Insurance pension qualifications such as AF3 Pension Planning
  6. Holder of/Eligible for a Statement of Professional Standing (SPS) and demonstrating a commitment to ongoing compliance with the obligations of an SPS Holder including meeting annual evidential CPD requirements
  7. GCSE Maths and English Language (grade C or above essential)
  8. Trained in the Microsoft suite of products especially Excel and financial planning Client Relationship Management and Quotation software
  9. Client-centric
  10. Combination of commercial focus and sound technical knowledge
  11. Energetic, desire to get involved and contribute
  12. Confident communication and presentation skills including good written and verbal skills
  13. Professional and can-do attitude. Willing to embrace being part of a new team and encourage/mentor others
