Paraplanner - Hybrid Working (2 days office, 3 days home)
Reed Financial Services is representing a forward-thinking and growing wealth management business committed to providing the very best financial advice through top-quality teams. They currently have an opportunity for a Paraplanner to join either of their offices due to expansion.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to Financial Planners by producing quality documents that offer clear advice to clients, based on solid market research and the clients' financial objectives. This role is ideal for someone with experience as a Paraplanner within Financial Services who is looking to join an exciting, growing company.
Technical Support and Knowledge
- Assist the Financial Planner in formulating advice to clients, providing technical support and guidance where appropriate.
- Review client objectives to ensure they are clear, concise, and achievable based on the client’s financial circumstances.
Research and Recommendations
- Provide research and analysis of investment funds and financial products, considering client objectives.
- Conduct fund research using tools like Fidelius panel or FE Analytics where appropriate.
- Review asset allocation for investment/pension holdings.
- Complete financial cashflow forecasts demonstrating the client’s current and future financial position.
- Prepare Financial Plans outlining the client’s current position, future goals, and strategies to achieve them.
- Prepare fund switch and encashment letters based on advice provided.
- Obtain applications, key features documents, factsheets, illustrations, and product comparison quotes from appropriate sources, providing clear research of the advice.
- Liaise with Product Providers and Third Parties regarding technical queries.
Essential Skills
- Previous experience in a similar role within financial services.
- Practical application of technical financial knowledge.
- Experience in data research and report writing within financial services.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) or similar tools.
- Professional attitude with a strong customer focus, aiming for the best outcomes for clients and the business.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working in a small to medium-sized financial services environment.
- Experience with IO back-office software, FE Analytics, or working in environments of significant change.
- Experience working with a Discretionary Fund Manager.
Skills & Qualifications
Essential
- Fully Diploma qualified.
- Good understanding of the Financial Planning process.
- Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
Desirable
- AFPC qualification or working towards it.
- Understanding of cashflow modelling.
- Broad knowledge of the Financial Services Industry and high-level technical knowledge.
- Experience with cashflow modelling and project management skills.
