Job summary

Reed is partnering with a growing Glasgow financial planning firm to recruit a technically strong paraplanner. The role blends client-focused technical work with maintaining high advice standards and offers hybrid working and clear career development.

You'll conduct pre- and post-advice file reviews, prepare suitability reports, and support advisers with complex cases. You’ll also assist with compliance monitoring and training, plus pensions and investments research.

Qualifications

  • Experience in financial planning, wealth management or IFA environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments and financial planning.
  • Experience in paraplanning, compliance, file checking or quality review.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre and post advice file reviews to ensure suitability and regulatory compliance.
  • Identify risks, omissions and areas for improvement within client files.
  • Provide feedback to advisers and support ongoing advice quality.
  • Assist with compliance monitoring, audits and process improvements.
  • Prepare suitability reports and recommendation documentation.
  • Undertake pension, investment and protection research.
  • Carry out technical analysis, product comparisons and cashflow modelling.
  • Support advisers with complex cases and technical queries.
  • Assist with Training & Competency administration and adviser development.

You'll work closely with advisers, supporting complex cases, reviewing advice quality and helping to strengthen compliance processes across the business.

What you'll do
