Job summary

Reed in Taunton is seeking a Senior Paraplanner to support Financial Planners and Client Executives in delivering exceptional financial planning advice and long-term solutions.

You will conduct technical research across pensions, investments, and protection, and use cashflow modelling to aid client decisions. The role offers a collaborative, development‑focused environment with clear progression.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Paraplanning role.
  • CII Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent).
  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, and protection products.
  • Excellent understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to simplify complex financial concepts into clear reports.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Financial Planners and Client Executives to deliver a seamless client experience.
  • Produce high-quality suitability reports that clearly explain recommendations and outcomes.
  • Conduct technical research across pensions, investments, protection, and wider financial planning areas.
  • Use cashflow modelling and scenario planning tools to support client decision-making.
  • Analyse and review fact-finds, risk profiles, and client information to identify opportunities and gaps.
  • Assist in developing and reviewing complex financial planning strategies.
  • Prepare application forms and supporting documentation for new business and client changes.
  • Liaise with providers, clients and colleagues to obtain information and resolve queries.
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments, FCA regulations and tax legislation.
  • Contribute ideas to improve processes and client outcomes.

The Role

As a Senior Paraplanner, you will:

About You

To be successful, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a Paraplanning role.
  • CII Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent).
  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, and protection products.
  • Excellent understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • The ability to simplify complex financial concepts into clear and concise reports.
  • Experience using financial planning software, cashflow modelling tools, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
