We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Paraplanner to join a well-established and forward-thinking wealth management team in Chester. You’ll work closely with Financial Planners and the wider team to deliver outstanding service, with the opportunity to grow your technical expertise and make a lasting impact within a collaborative and values-driven firm.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Preparing detailed and compliant suitability reports tailored to client objectives
• Supporting the advice process by researching and analysing financial planning solutions
• Assisting in the preparation of client meetings, including reviews and onboarding
• Collaborating with advisers to construct robust, tax-efficient financial strategies
• Keeping up to date with regulatory and product changes
• Mentoring junior team members (if appropriate), contributing to team development
• Playing an active role in continuous improvement of processes and client service

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have:

• A minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a Paraplanning role
• CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent). This is preferred, but not essential.
• Strong understanding of pensions, investments, IHT planning, and protection products
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• A passion for delivering high standards and getting things right the first time
• Someone who sees Paraplanning as a long-term, rewarding career—not a stepping stone

Nice-to-Have:

• Working towards or achieved Chartered Status or Level 6 Advanced Diploma
• Experience working in a fee-based, client-centric financial planning environment
• Familiarity with tools such as Cashflow Modelling and CRM/financial planning software
