The Role – Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with Financial Planners to clarify client goals and deliver tailored, compliant financial planning recommendations
  • Produce detailed, high-quality suitability reports and recommendation letters for clients with complex financial needs
  • Conduct in-depth product and market research, including advanced cashflow modelling and scenario analysis
  • Support and guide junior paraplanners, sharing best practice and acting as a go-to technical expert
  • Prepare and maintain compliant client files throughout the advice journey
  • Attend client meetings where required, helping to build rapport and enhance the overall client experience
  • Stay at the forefront of regulatory changes and ensure documentation aligns with FCA standards
  • Deputise for the Paraplanning Manager when needed, providing leadership and continuity
What They’re Looking For
  • Experience: 5+ years in a paraplanning role, ideally within a wealth management or IFA setting
  • Qualifications: Diploma in Financial Planning (minimum); Advanced Diploma or progress toward Chartered status highly desirable
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of FCA principles and regulatory frameworks
    • Advanced knowledge of financial planning tools, platforms, and products
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication
    • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities under pressure
    • A supportive, mentoring mindset with a passion for knowledge-sharing
