Job summary

The Opportunity Hub UK is seeking an Experienced Paraplanner to support senior Financial Planners and deliver high-quality client outcomes. You’ll work in a collaborative, growth-focused environment that prioritises people and professional development.

You will conduct research, prepare suitability reports, and handle fund analyses with rigor, supporting a culture of client-centric service delivery and regulatory compliance across the Midlands region.

Qualifications

  • This role requires minimum 2 years paraplanning experience within an IFA environment.
  • Strong knowledge of diverse financial products and planning strategies.
  • DipPFS qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify financial planning opportunities tailored to client objectives.
  • Prepare detailed suitability reports and strategic recommendations for approval.
  • Conduct fund research and analysis using FE Analytics.
  • Maintain due diligence across funds, platforms and providers.
  • Generate return analyses and performance reports for the team.
  • Ensure client documentation meets regulatory standards and quality benchmarks.

The Role Overview

Your Core Responsibilities
  • Research and identify comprehensive financial planning opportunities tailored to individual client objectives
  • Prepare detailed suitability reports and strategic recommendations for Financial Planner approval
  • Conduct thorough fund research and analysis utilising industry-leading platforms such as FE Analytics
  • Maintain current due diligence research across funds, platforms, and product providers
  • Generate cumulative return analyses and performance reporting for team collaboration
  • Ensure all client documentation meets regulatory compliance standards and quality benchmarks
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum 2 years' paraplanning experience within an established IFA environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of diverse financial products and planning strategies
  • DipPFS qualification or equivalent Level 4 professional certification preferred
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional client communication and service standards
  • Strong collaborative approach with demonstrated team working capabilities
  • Extensive experience with IFA systems, processes, and regulatory requirements
