Overview

Our specialist insurance team in Gallagher Specialty is looking for a self-motivated individual to join the Climate Advisory and Parametric Division in London. The ideal candidate does not need a specific background in Parametric insurance but should have experience in property-related catastrophe risk and a desire to develop their understanding of parametric solutions.

How you'll make an impact

Parametric insurance is an evolving space, and we seek a candidate capable of developing our offerings, undertaking additional roles and responsibilities as we grow. The successful candidate will fulfill various roles within the division, including:

1. Client and market engagement
2. Risk placement and account management
3. Market broking (virtual and in-person)
4. Review and preparation of new and renewal market-facing documents
5. Review of client-facing documents for new and renewal policies
6. Utilization of internal and external underwriting placing systems
7. General account management
8. Utilization of Gallagher’s Document Management System, including filing insurance slips, emails, and market sheets for audit purposes

About You

• Ideally educated to degree level
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication at all organizational levels
• Experience in parametric insurance, carbon markets, or catastrophe bonds is preferred
• Passion for continual upskilling and education in emerging risks
• Strong numerical skills and ability to solve complex problems
• Eligible to work in the UK
