General Job Description

  1. Maintain patient's safe passage in and out of the practice
  2. Greet, assess and interview patients
  3. Obtain past medical and surgical history, family history, social history, vital signs
  4. Review present medications, allergy history, chief complaint
  5. Prepare and assist patients for examination, treatment, or procedure by provider
  6. Anticipate needs of patients, and the provider
  7. Monitor patients during examination or procedure
  8. Maintain and update level of skill for pertinent paramedic duties
  9. Maintain patient care areas
  10. Stock and order supplies as needed, and maintain clean exam rooms
  11. Charge and code supplies, medications, and procedures
  12. Respond to patient's concerns in person or by telephone while simultaneously documenting the problem
  13. Maintain patient confidentiality
  14. Administer medications and IVs per physician’s orders
  15. Perform a variety of preliminary procedures, including phlebotomy, injections, throat cultures and more

Qualifications:
• Current Massachusetts Paramedic Licensure
• Current ACLS/BLS licensure
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Team Player
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
