Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Paramedic to join our primary care team at Gatwick IRC, located in Gatwick.

Hours

The site currently offers a 24-hour service and shift patterns with 11.5 hour shifts from 7am-7.30pm. This position is full time, and you'll receive an annual salary up to £47,250 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

How will we support you?

Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course, competency framework, regional and national career development opportunities, our bespoke Learning Management System to address your learning needs, and support from the wider team.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

Main duties of the job

As a Paramedic, your responsibilities will vary. You will:

  • Provide outstanding evidence-based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to, and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them - focusing on emergency and unplanned care to patients with both primary care and acute care needs.
  • Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
  • Play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care following our policies and procedures while always considering safeguarding.

Minimum Requirements
  • Qualified Paramedic
  • Current professional registration (HCPC)
  • Proven post-registration ambulance experience
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
  • Proven experience in either: Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments, or Minor injuries/illness

Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
