We have an exciting opportunity for a Paramedic to join our Unscheduled Care Team at HMP Wormwood Scrubs, a category B Prison located in London.

In this role you will have the opportunity to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without having to compromise on efficiency and quality.

Hours
The site currently offers a 24-hour service
Days: 07:30 - 19:45
Nights: 19:45 - 07:30
Predominately working days, night shifts will be required to cover sickness and annual leave.
An expectation to work a maximum of 2 weekends per month is also required.

Salary
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £55,086 per annum - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

What you'll be doing
As a Paramedic, you will attend emergency response situations across the prison, assess patients and ensure that follow up care is implemented.

  • Provide outstanding evidence-based care to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them - focusing on emergency and unplanned care to patients with both primary care and acute care needs.
  • Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
  • Playing an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient's care following our policies, procedures and always considering safeguarding.

  • Proven experience in either: Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments or Minor injuries / illness

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
