The Opportunity

As a Legal Assistant or Paralegal, you’ll support our top-tier contentious probate team. We handle complex disputes involving wills, estates, executors, financial provisions, and the Court of Protection — often for high-net-worth individuals and well-known charities.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, working closely with experienced solicitors and partners who are leaders in the field.

This is a hybrid role based in our Bristol office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Opening and closing electronic files
  • Using case management systems to process cases
  • Handling calls, queries, and enquiries
  • Managing documentation (copying, scanning, faxing, printing, filing)
  • Archiving and retrieving electronic and paper documents
  • Typing correspondence and documents
  • Processing post and arranging couriers
  • Managing diaries, appointments, and travel arrangements
  • Assisting with financial admin, liaising with finance team, processing expenses, invoices, and payments
  • Maintaining data on spreadsheets

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

  • At least 6 months’ experience in an administrative role within legal or professional services
  • Proficiency with IT systems, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Minimum GCSE grade C in English and Mathematics (or equivalent)
