Job summary

Avery Emerson in East London/Ilford is seeking a Paralegal/Trainee Solicitor for two vacancies. The role offers hands-on experience across diverse practice areas, with training by experienced fee earners in a Lexcel-accredited firm.

Candidates should have completed LPC or LLB (SQE1/SQE2 preferred) and at least two years of paralegal experience, strong IT and communication skills, and be locally based or willing to relocate to Essex.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have completed the LPC or LLB degree (SQE1/SQE2 preferred).
• Minimum two years paralegal experience.
• Excellent IT skills with Microsoft Office; knowledge of legal software is a plus.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Able to work on own initiative and be well organised.
• Applicants locally based in Essex preferred though all locations are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on legal and client-facing experience across practice areas.
• Assist fee earners with a wide range of matters and deal with clients directly.
• Learn and uphold Lexcel standards and high professional conduct.
