Job summary

Avery Emerson in East London/Ilford is seeking a Paralegal/Trainee Solicitor for two vacancies. The role offers hands-on experience across diverse practice areas, with training by experienced fee earners in a Lexcel-accredited firm.

Candidates should have completed LPC or LLB (SQE1/SQE2 preferred) and at least two years of paralegal experience, strong IT and communication skills, and be locally based or willing to relocate to Essex.

Qualifications

Our firm offers a wide range of legal services in diverse practice areas including: family, litigation, conveyancing (residential and commercial), immigration, employment and, wills and probate.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for pro-active and positive individuals who want to gain hands on legal and face to face client experience.

We currently have two roles available at our firm, allowing you to deal with clients directly as well as assisting fee earners in a wide variety of legal matters. This will allow the right candidates to gain valuable hands on experience within a legal environment in our wide ranging legal areas. Our ethos is to offer our clients ‘total legal care’ and you will play a key role in ensuring this goal is achieved.

Who are we looking for?

• Candidates will need to have successfully completed the LPC or LLB Degree (preferred SQE1 and SQE2 passed); and with two years Minimum experience.
• Applicants will have excellent IT skills, including all Microsoft packages, some knowledge of legal software would be advantageous, but not essential.
• Candidates should have excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Candidates should have a good positive and enthusiastic attitude and be able to work on their own initiative.
• The right applicant will be pro - active and well organised; and
• We are keen to hear from individuals who have experience of working within a legal environment and are living locally, although this is not an essential requirement and applicants from all locations and levels of experience are welcome to apply.
