The Opportunity:

We have an opportunity for aParalegalto join our expanding Residential Conveyancingteam, which is based at our Wymondhamoffice. This growing department works in a fast-paced environment, and they are looking for individuals who relish the challenge that this brings.

About the Team:

Buying a property is probably one of the largest investments people can make. Our efficient and friendly conveyancing solicitors in Wymondham help guide our clients through all stages of property transaction from start to finish. The team are always on hand to answer any queries relating to the process and we pride ourselves on keeping our clients informed every step of the way. The service we offer is personal and professional and backed up by the latest technology. Our team helps clients with all aspects of residential property ownership including: Buying & Selling Property, Equity Release, Re-mortgaging a Property, Transfer of Equity and Voluntary First Registration of Land.

The Role:

This role will see the successful candidate undertaking the following tasks:

  • Handling of a caseload of property transactions.
  • Liaising with clients, developers, and other stakeholders, and building strong rapport,to ensure a seamless transaction process.
  • Providing support to clients throughout the conveyancing process.
  • Ensuring compliance with allregulatory and financial requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation for each transaction.
  • Carrying out post exchange work for the team, such as preparing completion statements, drafting replies to requisitions, carrying out registrations, and preparing telegraphic transfers.
  • Completing SDLT forms.
  • Opening and closing of files, and conducting searches.
  • Drafting and preparing forms and documentation.
  • Handling telephone calls, emails, and general correspondence, queries, and enquiries.
  • Contributing to a positive and supportive team dynamic.
  • Participating in business development opportunities and networking events to promote firm services.
  • Providing general Paralegal and Administrativesupport to the team as required.

The Candidate:

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Has previous experience working as a Paralegal,with a fee earning target (at least 1 year).
  • Has previous experience working on residentialpurchase and sales matters.
  • Ideally holds relevant legalqualifications,or is currently working towards these.
  • Has a commitment to providing an excellent standard of client care.
  • Is commercially astute.
  • Has working knowledge of Conveyancing practice and procedures.
  • Is IT literate, an accurate typist (including dictations), and has experience using a case management system.
  • Has great time management,attention to detail, and communication skills.
  • Enjoys a busy environment, is adept at multitasking,and has the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Has a positive "can-do" attitude andloves learning new skills.
  • Is a team-player who can quickly build report and gain the trustof their team and clients, in this demanding area of legal work.
